Our Story

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Rock Crusher Elementary, Home of the Gophers! As the proud principal of RCE, I am thrilled to welcome our students and their families to the 2026-27 school year. It is with great anticipation that we begin another year of growth, learning, and follow the road to success together.

At Rock Crusher Elementary, our vision guides everything we do: As Gophers, we believe in our potential, achieve success through determination and teamwork, and inspire one another to be our very best!  Our mission is to educate the whole child while helping every student become a lifelong learner, a unique individual, and a person who makes a positive difference in the world.

Communication is the foundation of a strong school community, and we are committed to keeping families informed and connected. Throughout the year, we will communicate through weekly updates, newsletters, and other channels. Please ensure your phone number and email address are current in FOCUS so you receive these important updates. Together, we can build a supportive environment where questions are answered, concerns are addressed, and accomplishments are celebrated.

To create a positive and productive learning environment, we maintain clear expectations for academics, behavior, and respect. By teaching and modeling these expectations each day, we help students grow academically and socially while building the knowledge, character, and confidence needed for success both in and out of the classroom.

Regular attendance is essential for student success. We encourage all families to make attendance a priority and ensure students arrive on time each day. At RCE, instruction takes place bell-to-bell from 9:20 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. Consistent attendance for the full instructional day supports academic achievement and helps students develop responsibility and positive habits. Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority.

Family involvement plays a vital role in student success. We encourage parents and guardians to attend conferences, volunteer, and participate in school events throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming a classroom volunteer, we are happy to assist you through the application process. Together, families and educators create a strong partnership that helps every child succeed.

I am confident that with the support of our dedicated staff, engaged families, and motivated students, this school year will be filled with meaningful learning, lasting memories, and outstanding achievements.  Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education.
